ECHO Louisville – Preventing the Incidence & Impact of Child Abuse

Kentucky is a Mandatory Reporting state, and ECHO provides community training for ANY adults on how to recognize, react and report child abuse.

I mentioned in our last WIN5 meeting that Lifehouse is having a virtual event on May 18 and 19 called Unity for Life. This event will be an opportunity for our supporters to make their own fundraising pages and share with their friends, family, and loved ones about Lifehouse and the work we are doing. There will be offline donation opportunities during this event as well.

We are needing sponsors for this event to help Lifehouse continue to support moms and babies in our community. I have attached a document listing three different sponsorship levels. Each level comes with different visibility and recognition benefits. 

Please let me know if your company would be interested in sponsoring or if you have any questions. Another option would be for WIN5 to sponsor, or for each member (and guest if you choose) to chip in money to pool toward a Hope sponsorship. (If we have 11 members who contribute, for example, this would be a little over $45 a person to get to $500.)

Also (in addition to or instead of a sponsorship), WIN5 (or individual members or guests) can choose to make a fundraising page during the event and you can invite coworkers, friends, and/or other connections to support Lifehouse. I will provide more information on this soon.  

Here is more information about our Unity for Life event:

• Unity for Life began as a benefit dinner for Lifehouse Maternity Home a few years after Lifehouse opened its doors in 2008. 
  After a year hiatus, plans for a 2020 Unity for Life breakfast were being made when the pandemic struck, putting plans on hold for two years. Now, for 2022, Lifehouse is pivoting to a virtual Unity for Life event, bringing back the testimonies and stories of success in a safe, online format. We hope you will join us!
  On Wednesday, May 18, and Thursday, May 19, Lifehouse will share a mix of stories, donor recognition, volunteer highlights, and much more. We are asking our supporters to share those stories and add their own. We are also offering the opportunity for supporters and their friends to set personal fundraising goals and make donations to support the lives at Lifehouse. For the first Inspire event of the year, we welcome Dee Dee Taylor of 502 Hemp to share her story!  

 Dee Dee has dedicated her life to helping others find relief using her products and it shows.  She was awarded the 2019 Strong Woman Leader Award from the Prospect Chamber and was recognized as the Top 20 People to  Know in the Healthcare industry in Louisville’s Business First, January 2019 edition. 502 Hemp won the Leo’s Reader’s Choice awards in 2019 for Best New Store, Best Place to purchase CBD and Best CBD Oil as well.  

 502 Hemp won the Leo’s Reader’s Choice awards in 2020 for Best CBD Store and Best CBD oil. 502 Hemp was named as the 2020 and 2021 Neighborhood Favorite in Nextdoor. In 2021, 502 Hemp won Best CBD Store in Louisville in the Courier Journal’s Best of the Best Community Awards. 502 Hemp also won the 2021 Best CBD Store in the Leo’s Reader’s Choice awards making it 3 years in a row as the Best CBD Store in Louisville!

 Our 2022 series will be offered in person only from 8:30am – 10am at the University of Louisville Event and Conference Center, located at 450 N. Whittington Pkwy. Louisville, KY 40222

 Individual tickets to each program are $25 or you can purchase the entire series at a discounted package rate for $80.  Every Inspire you attend this year enters your name into the Grand Prize Drawing, a 90 Minute Massage.

On Mondays, go to the Oxmoor Center mall to shop at Altar’d State. They are doing Mission Mondays where they will donate 10% of their sales on Mondays to Lifehouse for the rest of the year!
